Compliance Professional of the Year

The University of Nottingham has always striven to be the best in its field, and this is exemplified by Chelsie Rogers, Senior Quality Compliance and Reporting Officer, who has been shortlisted for Compliance Professional of the Year by The Quality Professional Awards.

We are delighted for Chelsie as the award celebrates and promotes the work of professionals within education and employability. It’s external recognition of the exceptional work and knowledge she brings to her role within the University.

Her nomination is an example of the excellent standards we strive for at the university and reassurance that all those who work with her are providing high-quality support on-programme for businesses and apprentices. Since she stepped into the role, she has been our compliance champion for degree apprenticeships. Degree apprenticeships are an innovative new way for students to gain a world-class degree whilst solving real life challenges at work.

Chelsie has played a pivotal role in setting up the university’s degree apprenticeship compliance monitoring processes and has made a monumental contribution to the university. She’s worked with the programme teams within schools to set high standards across the university degree apprenticeship provision. Her collaboration and perseverance have resulted in a suite of degree apprenticeship programmes built on excellence.

“Chelsie has been instrumental in making sure we’re compliant with government standards for apprenticeships and we’re so proud to see her work be recognised outside of the university. She’s brought invaluable knowledge combined with her hard work to ensure our apprenticeship provision is up to the mark.”
Ruth Eccles, Head of Professional and Work-Based Learning.

However, her hard work stretches beyond degree apprenticeships. She was also instrumental in the creation of the Midland’s University Apprenticeship Network. It’s a forum for those involved in the delivery of apprenticeships in Higher Education Institutions to come together to discuss common themes and challenges in implementing compliance, sharing best practices, and providing peer to peer support.

Being shortlisted for Compliance Professional of the Year is an outstanding achievement and we are proud to count Chelsie amongst our number at the University and are grateful for her expertise and work. She is a highly skilled individual and we are thrilled that she is making waves across the country, not just at the University.
