Welcome to the School of Pharmacy

Our School leads the UK in the training of future Pharmacists and in undertaking world changing research.  Rated 1st in the UK Research Assessment Exercise for Pharmacy and in the top 2% of all university departments in any subject in the UK, we are recognised as a world leader for research in the design and use of drugs and medicines.

Our 4-year and 5-year undergraduate Masters in Pharmacy (MPharm) degree challenges students to become the future leaders of the profession.  As well as the UK-based degree, we run a very successful MPharm programme with our Malaysia Campus. We endeavour to offer as many students as possible the opportunity to spend part of their course at our Malaysia campus.

Our research  impacts on patient care and  the UK economy through pioneering studies in drug discovery, regenerative medicine, drug delivery, cell and molecular biology, nanotechnology, health economics and many other fields. PhD students  from across the world undertake cutting edge research before commencing on careers that take them to the top of the pharmaceutical industry, academia and clinical pharmacy.
