The very first LloydsPharmacy Sports Tournament was attended by a range of university pharmacy societies from across the country including Keele, Lincoln, and Hertfordshire (not forgetting Nottingham!). The tournament saw the different societies compete in Football, Netball, Badminton and Hockey competitions with the victorious society winning the chance to take home the LloydsPharmacy Sports Shield

First Prize for Weird and Wonderful

This prize winning image shows a collection of biodegradable dimpled microparticles for enhanced cell growth. It was taken by Dr Marta Alvarez Paino from the School of Pharmacy at The University of Nottingham. It took first prize in the 'Weird and Wonderful' category of a national science photography competition organised by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
