Postgraduate student wins prize at International Summer School

First year postgraduate student Athina Liaskoni, who works on the 3D printing of medical implants in the Advanced Materials and Healthcare Technologies Division (AMHT) in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, recently attended the 2018 International Graduate Summer School at Beihang University, Beijing, China.  The Summer School lasted for 10 days with over 100 students from leading Universities including MIT, ETH Zurich, University of California and many more.

Apart from daily classes, Athina worked as part of a small team on a project they originated on the "Design of new functional 3D printed materials for electrical aircraft components", winning second prize overall in the Summer School.
