Through this page, you can find information about our academic appeals, academic misconduct, student complaints and non-academic misconduct processes.

If you’re not sure which process might apply to your circumstances, here’s a summary of the types of things that are considered in each process:

  • Academic appeals are a way for you to request a review of a decision made by an academic board or panel on your progression, award or extenuating circumstances outcome.
  • Academic misconduct is any inappropriate activity or behaviour by a student which may give that student, or another student, an unpermitted academic advantage in a summative assessment.
  • Student complaints are the route through which you can raise dissatisfaction about something the university has or has not done.
  • Non-academic misconduct is outlined in our Code of Discipline. It sets out expectations of all students and the process that is followed when breaches of the code are identified.
