Logistics

The workshop will be held in the main Physics building on the University Park Campus. A map of the campus is here. The main physics building is numbered '22' on this map, towards the north-eastern edge.

Talks will be held in lecture theatre C-27 on the second floor of the physics building. Posters will be displayed in C-14 (where tea/coffee and lunch will be served).

Getting to University Park Campus by car

Maps and directions are given on the main university web pages here. When entering the campus, simply inform the security staff at the barrier that you are attending the workshop in the main physics building.

Please note that workshop delegates must use one of the three visitor pay and display car parks as shown on the map referenced above. Failure to do this will result in you vehicle being clamped. The nearest car park to physics is the main vistor car park. Please bear in mind that visitor parking is quite limited so arriving by an alternative means would be more preferable.

Getting to University Park Campus by train

University Park Campus is a short bus, tram or taxi journey from Nottingham Train Station. The tram runs direct from the station to the university. A number of bus services run from bus stops near to the station, directly into the campus. Please see the university's main pages here for timetables and more information.

Alternatively, Beeston train station, is slightly closer, although only taxis, not buses, are available from here.

Getting to University Park Campus by air

The East Midlands Airport is a 25-30 minute journey away by taxi, or, there is a 24 hour Skylink bus service to Nottingham City Centre which takes 45 minutes. Buses are every 30 minutes until 11.30pm, then hourly until 4am when the half hourly service resumes. See the main university web pages here for more information.
