Biography

I joined the university as a Senior Research Technician in the Genetics department in 2004 working on a BHF funded project looking for unique variations in the sequence of candidate genes within a Cohort of patients with atrial septal defects.

I next joined Academic Child Health in Jan 2008, where I was involved in early life research with particular emphasis on brown adipose tissue development. I also provided laboratory training and support for clinicians and Ph.D. students in the department.

In January 2022 I moved to the School of Biosciences as a Technical Specialist in Cell Culture within the Division of Nutrition and Dietetics, based in North Lab, Sutton Bonington Campus.
