Impact of canine surgical sterilisation programs
What would you like to know about the impact of canine surgical sterilisation programs?
We would like people who have direct first-hand experience of working on dog population management and/or rabies control programs to let us know what questions they have about the impact of surgical sterilisation programs on a population of free-roaming dogs, with particular reference to canine rabies control.
Between February and April 2019 we had our initial survey open. We had 110 respondents from 47 different countries and 644 individual questions were submitted. The questions were analysed, grouped into themes and formed into representative questions. Any questions that had already been answered by existing research were removed. We now need your help to choose which of the representative questions are of most importance. The full list of questions developed from this initial survey can be found here
The results of this survey will give us a shortlist of questions which will be taken forward for final prioritisation in a workshop in which the top 10 research priorities will be decided. This will help to prioritise future research and improve the effectiveness of these programs. The survey should take around 15 minutes to complete and can be answered anonymously if you wish.
