What is the Urban Room?

The Nottingham Urban Room is a neutral space with an inspirational and creative atmosphere that helps people relax and gives them the confidence to participate in activities and to connect with a vast diversity of people.

The Nottingham Urban Room is open every Thursday at the City as Lab facilities (unless otherwise specified). Please note some of our events are private or by invitation only. Public events are by registration only, due to the limited capacity of the lab.

Commitments of the Nottingham urban room

Addressing climate change, social inclusion, place democracy and public health

Rebalancing representation and promoting equality at all levels, also including young people

Securing a platform free of hierarchies where everyone with interest and enthusiasm has equal opportunity to contribute however they can, and are able to learn and grow in a direction they choose

The Urban Room follows the ethos of Co-PLACE.
