The department of Modern Languages and Cultures welcomed 60 junior pupils from Haydn road primary school on Wednesday 18 April who have been learning Spanish this year and whose teacher wanted to inspire them to love languages!
The pupils worked in groups of 20 and each undertook a campus tour using Spanish and Russian vocabulary (the Russian learned during their taster), attended a Russian and a German taster session and ate their lunch in the sunshine outside the Portland building.
Thank you to Monika Poray- Zbrozek Savage who taught the Russian taster and James Foster (Year 4 Modern Languages and Cultures) who taught the German taster and to Emma Phillips, George Tickner and Kassia Rodgers, all Year 4 Modern Languages and Cultures, who managed the three groups and designed the campus tours.
