About learning leaders
Working with children aged 7-11, learning leaders volunteers are based in Nottingham primary schools. This role involves working in a group leading whole class sessions in school time, or running an after school club. Volunteers also have the opportunity to work as team leaders.
The role
Inspire children to love learning by sharing your subject knowledge in fun and engaging ways
- Plan and lead sessions in a primary school
- Share your degree subject knowledge
- Experience working with children aged 7–11
- Inspire pupils to achieve their potential
Key dates for UG volunteering
Autum Term placements 2022:
- Training between 5 October - 2 November 2022
- In school placement one hour per week between 7 November - 16 December 2022
Spring Term placements 2023:
- Training between 2 November 2022 - 22 February 2023
- School placement between 22 February - 31 March 2023
Key dates for PG volunteering
Unfortunately, we are not running the Postgraduate Learning Leaders programme in 2023/24.
