Lyon

"Viewed from the Autoroute du Soleil, the first impression of Lyon is of a major confluence of rivers and roads, around which only petrochemical industries thrive. In fact, from the sixteenth century right up until the postwar dominance of metalworks and chemicals, silk was the city’s main industry, generating the wealth that left behind a multitude of Renaissance buildings. But what has stamped its character most on Lyon is the commerce and banking that grew up with its industrial expansion. Today, with its eco-friendly tram system, high-tech industrial parks home to international companies, Lyon is a modern city par excellence; moreover, with the new Eurostar link to London, Lyon is more accessible than ever." (Rough Guides: Lyon, 2024)

Top attractions: Musée des Confluences, Musée de Beaux-Arts, Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière, Lyon Confluence, Cathédrale St-Jean-Baptiste, Place des Terreaux.

While Kedge Business School is not the owner/operator of these residences and is not involved in the invoicing process, our staff are happy to help make your reservations as a courtesy service. Students can also book their own accommodation if they wish.

Places on the pre-booked Apart-hotels are extremely limited and students may wish to research alternative accommodation options, incase your accommodation application is unsuccessful.

The pre-booked accommodation is not available on Friday 28 or Saturday 29 July. Things to do

Paris

"Paris' monument-lined boulevards, museums, classical bistros and boutiques are enhanced by a new wave of multimedia galleries, creative wine bars, design shops and tech start-ups... Packed with iconic museums and monuments, together with low-key treasures cherished by locals, Paris is a city that emanates "la belle vie" (the good life).
Away from the highlights – the Louvre, Notre Dame and Eiffel Tower – Parisian life ticks along with a coffee on a terrace, a bike ride along the Seine, and wine-fueled lunches with friends in noisy bistros." Lonely Planet 2024: Paris

Top attractions: Eiffel Tower, Centre Pompidou, Sainte-Chapelle, Musée de Louvre, Les Catacombes, Musee Rodin, Jardin du Luxembourg, Panthéon.

Along with Épernay, it is the most important centre of Champagne production, and a fine base for exploring the Montagne de Reims Champagne Route." Lonely Planet 2022
