Visiting academics and postdoctoral scholars
The School of Education has limited capacity to host academics and postdoctoral scholars who wish to spend shorter or longer periods based in the school for research purposes.
Due to limited capacity, visitors are normally professional associates of current School of Education staff and are undertaking collaborative work with their host. If you wish to visit the school and you want to work with a specific colleague you already know, please contact them initially. They will make the formal application on your behalf.
If you are making a general enquiry (for instance, you do not have an existing collaboration with a member of staff in the school) please email Professor Shaaron Ainsworth, Director of Research and Knowledge Exchange, in the first instance.
Please note: Visiting academics should either have gained their PhD or have submitted their thesis for examination. Students without a PhD will need to visit as an occasional student.
If we can support your visit we are able to provide academic visitors with a dedicated visiting scholar's workspace and with mail, telephone and computer network access. Visitors can use their own email provision or a university email account. Library and photocopying access will be provided.
