Public Engagement

Social inclusion concept - paper people silhouettes on hands

The School of Education is committed to engaging all those with an interest in education with the research that we do. Whether you are a teacher, lecturer, researcher or someone who just has an interest in education and learning, we strive to make our research community open and accessible.

Throughout the year we run free seminars that are open to the public, presenting work from our six research centres.

Network groups for teachers in partnership schools take place regularly, where there are opportunities to meet with other teachers in the area and to work with speakers from a variety of education settings.

We manage Researching Education. This blog offers accessible summaries of recent research findings that concern educational practice. Articles are published online and written by the original research investigators. Subscription is open and free but most likely to appeal to practicing teachers. Subscribers receive periodic emails with topic headlines that link to the online article summaries.
