The University of Nottingham and the School of Education welcome applications from all students. Our aim is to provide a high level of support and guidance - from the moment you first enquire to the moment you graduate.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the University is aware of your individual requirements. Students who have a disability, specific learning difficulty (such as dyslexia) and/or long-term medical condition are urged to inform their personal tutor and/or the school's Disability Liaison Officer.
The school ensures that personal information remains confidential, but any information regarding necessary support is shared on a need-to-know basis.
Disability Support in Student Services assists in the development of University policy and procedures relating to disability and their compliance with the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001.
There is lots of useful information including the University's Disability Plan for Students, Disability Equality Scheme and Disability Statement available on the Student Services website.
Academic Support in Student Services includes the Disability Support and Dyslexia Support teams, and offers a range of academic and practical support for all students.
Academic Support can provide information about Disabled Students' Allowances (DSA's) and, as a registered National Network of Assessment Centre (NNAC), the assessments required by Local Education Authorities (LEAs).
