The University of Nottingham Survey Unit
The University of Nottingham Survey Unit was set up in 1994 initially to carry out surveys of staff and students on behalf of the University management. More recently, it has operated with a wider brief supplying research services to a variety of academic units at Nottingham (including the School of Education, the School of Sociology and Social Policy and the Institute of Work, Health and Organisations) as well as external clients (including the Human Genetics Advisory Commission, ICL/Fujitsu, the NHS Workforce Development Confederation and Nottingham City Council). The Survey Unit advised on and undertook the major part of the quantitative surveys for CDELL on the 2001–2004 and 2004-2005 Evaluation of the Key Skills Support Programme, and on the 2005-2006 Evaluation of the Welsh Baccalaureate Pilot.
