Progression from foundation

Our Health Sciences with a Foundation Year prepares you for an undergraduate degree in nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy or sport rehabilitation.

You will receive a Foundation Certificate (FCert) after successfully completing the course, which can be used to apply for healthcare courses at the University of Nottingham or elsewhere. We hope that you will want to continue studying with us, but we will also help you to explore other options.

The foundation course has a minimum pass rate of 40%. However, the table below shows what you need to achieve to be considered for progression on to courses at Nottingham.

All our health sciences BSc courses also require Occupational Health clearance and a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
