9. Preparation and Follow Up
One way to ensure that the precious time available within a ward round is used most effectively is for wards to have a clear process for preparation before and follow up afterwards around the issues that will be discussed. This will mean attendees are well prepared, communication with and involvement of family and carers is maintained, and agreed actions are followed up and monitored.
