Environment

This leads us to the importance of the environment. This could refer to the physical environment or the social environment.

Environmental factors interact with impairments to influence performance of activities and participation.
For example, an artificial leg or a wheelchair are examples of environmental factors that influence mobility.

Ramps and lifts are examples of environmental factors that might enable a person to receive an education, or get to work.

Social security benefit might allow someone to pay for a carer.
