Up until getting the letter it hadn’t seemed a reality, then all of a sudden we weren’t having surgery at our local hospital we were to be moved to one about 100 miles away. We felt lost and afraid, we didn’t even question what was happening and why. The information booklet that was sent out about the surgery and the inherent risks was so stark and frightening.
