LGBT and Transgender Rights in the United States

Description
On 15 June 2020, in Bostock v. Clayton County, the United States Supreme Court issued a historic ruling on the rights of LGBT and Transgender Persons. The issue has been extensively considered by Professor McGoldrick in his article on 'The Development and Status of Sexual Orientation Discrimination under International Human Rights Law'.

The Annual Fundamental Rights Report 2020 of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency is now available

Description
The report summarises and analyses major human rights developments in the EU over 2019. HRLC researchers did research for the UK component of the report. The main findings are that growing intolerance and attacks on people's fundamental rights continue to erode the considerable progress achieved over the years.

HRLC was awarded funding by the Equality and Human Rights Commission

Description
?We are pleased to announce that HRLC has been awarded funding to work with the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) on a project aiming at obtaining a clearer understanding of how civil society organisations (CSOs) based in England and Wales use the international human rights framework (IHRF), the Human Rights Act 1998, the Equality Act 2020 and the Public Sector Equality Duty in their work.
