Department of Classics and Archaeology

Centres and networks - Classics and Archaeology

We are involved in a number of research centres, institutes and networks, at Nottingham and at national and international levels.

This creates interdisciplinary links, brings visiting scholars to Nottingham, and connects us to other centres of research in the UK, Europe and beyond.

The key Centres based in the Department are listed below. We also work closely with LatinNOW, the Silk Road Centre (part of the Global Institute for Silk Road Studies), and the Classical Reception
Studies Network (CRSN)
.

In addition to those listed below, we have relationships with many museums, galleries and other academic institutions, and are involved in a number of field projects. To find out more about these, view the section on individual research projects below.
