Liberal Arts

Study abroad

Liberal arts is all about different perspectives so we encourage our students to take some time to study abroad.

  • Experience how your subjects are tackled from a different background.
  • Explore another culture.
  • Strengthen language abilities.

Hear from Nottingham students who have already taken advantage of opportunities to study abroad.

Inter-campus exchange programme

The University has two international campuses - Malaysia and China. All classes are taught in English and modules and exams are very similar to those in Nottingham. Both campuses attract a diverse range of international students from over 60 countries.

Year Abroad scheme

If you are concentrating on subjects that mainly involve Modern Languages and Cultures you may be eligible to take part in their Year Abroad scheme.

You spend a year abroad working in a country related to your language speciality and then return to Nottingham to complete the final year of your Liberal Arts degree.

Eligibility depends on your language proficiency and modules studied. If you are interested in this option we recommend you contact us early for an informal discussion.
