CENTRE FOR AEROSPACE MANUFACTURING
Centre for Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) works closely with the European aerospace industry leaders to deliver translational industrially focused research in future aerospace assembly systems.
We are an international centre of excellence in assembly systems and smart factory technologies with particular expertise in informatics enabled manufacturing.
We deliver impact to our industrial partners through our expertise, comprised of both high calibre research fellows and industrially experienced project engineers.
CAM has an impressive range of state of the art equipment for the development and demonstration of disruptive manufacturing technologies. It has recently been awarded £3.8 million from the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund by the Aerospace Technology Institute for a Future Automated Aerospace Assembly Demonstrator platform, which will become the national experimental testbed and technology demonstrator in digital and informatics enabled aerospace manufacturing technologies.
