Alison Ashmore

Alison is a Senior Research Librarian, leading the Systematic and Literature Review service delivered by University of Nottingham Libraries. She has over 30 years of information management expertise and has previously worked in knowledge management roles in the pharmaceutical industry and more recently moved into higher education.
Alison works alongside two colleagues to deliver the Libraries Systematic and Literature Review service, providing consultation and guidance with developing complex search strategies, translating strategies to work across a wide range of resources, including grey literature, and supporting researchers with evidence synthesis tools. She supports all types of evidence synthesis reviews and is currently monitoring the benefits and concerns that artificial intelligence offers.
Alison participates in delivering evidence synthesis training at Nottingham and contributes to the JBI-accredited systematic review and scoping review courses. Alison is also the Faculty Liaison contact for Medicine and Health Sciences and co-leads the Libraries Research Intelligence service which supports researchers to improve the visibility and impact of their research.
