Lisa Lehnen, student of the MA Applied Linguistics programme at the University of Bonn (Germany), has joined the Centre for Research in Applied Linguistics for a two-month work placement. She will assist in different projects associated with the centre until early May. The administrative and research tasks Lisa will complete include collecting, transcribing and analysing data, as well as reviewing the research literature and participating in project meetings.
The first project she is involved  is led by Dr Lucy Jones and deals with the discourse of transgender teenagers. Lisa says she is impressed by the diversity of the work conducted at the centre and is looking forward to making a small contribution during her placement.
