Saving Oseberg

CSVA member Professor Steve Harding, of the National Centre for Macromolecular Hydrodynamics, has been invited to be a member of the scientific Reference Group for the Saving Oseberg project at the University of Oslo's Museum of Cultural History. The aim of the project is to provide a scientific basis for the choice of future preservation strategies, and evaluate state-of-the-art methods to be used towards the stabilisation of the unique objects from the high-status female Viking Age burial at Oseberg.
