In February 2023, Dr Malik received an award in London, for her 'Outstanding Research work' which relates to her reports as a Director of a think tank - Bridge Institute and her work with BIMA, a BMJ (British Medical Journal) paper which led to NHS England policy change in dress code and adopted by the BME (British Medical Association). She also worked on research which was presented at a symposium for Muslim Scholars in London. This award was given by BISCA (British Imams and Scholars Contributions and Achievements). See: BISCA Award winners.
