Teaching and Learning
The next generation of researchers
The ICPSP's international nature is reflected in the students it attracts.
In recent years, we have taught postgraduate and research students from over 50 countries across North and South America, Asia, Africa, Europe and Oceania.
This diversity of backgrounds and perspectives enriches both our research and our students' learning.
Undergraduate courses
The International Centre for Public and Social Policy contributes to the school's single honours BA Social Work and BA Sociology programmes, through research-led teaching in social and public policy subjects. Please contact Libby Steel for further information about undergraduate degree programmes.
Postgraduate courses
The centre houses research students undertaking doctoral research in a wide range of public and social policy issues, as well as offering three taught programmes:
The centre also offers Professional Doctorate programmes in Public Policy (DPP) and Public Management (DPM), which are aimed at practitioners in the public and not-for-profit sectors who are keen to combine development of their professional practice and further academic study, and Public Administration (MPA/PGDip) which offer the professional development opportunities of our masters programme in Public Administration without the research requirement.
