Beyond the Night Sky

Discover exciting facts about the universe with our student astronomers!

Our Learning Leaders volunteers from the School of Physics and Astronomy will guide pupils through a series of engaging and insightful sessions. The interactive sessions include:

  • Classifying Galaxies - why and how galaxies are classified
  • Dot-to-Dot Constellations - stories and myths about the night sky
  • Inflativerse - experiencing the night sky through a range of different shows in our brand new mobile planetarium
 

Is it for you?

  • Suitable for years 4, 5 and 6
  • Weekly 1 hour sessions 
  • Take place on Wednesday afternoons, during the school day
  • Delivered for 4 consecutive weeks in the Autumn term
  • School staff must be present to supervise children in all sessions
  • Minimum size of school hall 6.5m x 6.5m and 3.5m in height
