Study Abroad

location iconThe majority of our undergraduate students have the opportunity to apply to study abroad during their university career.

Nottingham has 200 partners in 40 different countries spanning six different continents across four different exchange programmes. These include Inter-campus exchange, University-wide exchange, Summer Schools and school exchanges.

University-wide exchange programme

The university-wide exchange programme offers undergraduate students the opportunity to apply to study at one of our partner institutions.

I studied abroad because I did not want to settle for an ordinary university experience. I wanted the challenge of moving to a new country, escaping my cultural 'bubble' and establishing lifelong transatlantic friendships. It is amazing how quickly strangers become friends, and a new place becomes a second home.
Kieran Leigh, studied abroad for a year at the University of South Florida, United States

Inter-campus exchange programme

On many of our undergraduate courses, students can apply to study at one of our overseas campuses in China or Malaysia for one semester or one year in their second year.

International summer schools

Summer schools are open to all undergraduate University of Nottingham students, and offer opportunities to take taught courses at one of our partner universities.
