Meet the senior team that lead our teaching of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences students
As Head of our School of Pharmacy, I lead and support innovation in all that our school does; with an aim to inspire all our staff and students to be truly ambitious and the best they can be in a diverse and supportive environment. I hope Nottingham will provide a place where you can thrive and grow with us.
My role is to lead the innovative taught programmes offered by the school. Our aim is to provide a high-quality educational experience, that will both challenge and inspire you. We want to prepare you as best we can for your future within pharmacy and pharmaceutical science.
I am head of year one of the MPharm degree. My aim is to help support your transition into higher education and I am particularly passionate about you developing a sense of belonging on the course. I am also the theme lead for pharmaceutics for the MPharm degree, and alongside my colleagues, teach practical and theoretical aspects of pharmaceutics across the MPharm and BSc/MSci Pharmaceutical Sciences.
I manage the Pharmacy Placements Team and support students undertaking placements as part of their course. We work closely with academic colleagues, the Careers and Employability Service and placement providers to ensure students have access to high quality practice-based and industrial placements. We can also help students find extra-curricular work experience and foundation training.
I am an academic and hospital pharmacist. I work with the MPharm Course Director to ensure student pharmacists have a great experience and are best prepared for their future practice. I also lead the Pharmacy with Integrated Foundation Training MPharm degree and am the MPharm Professional Development and Employability Lead.
I coordinate the development of the pharmaceutical sciences courses so that they continue to meet the needs of students and employers. I teach biology and pharmacology-related topics and lead a research team focussing on understanding disease and discovering new drug targets.
I coordinate the development and delivery of the BSc International Pharmacy course, this is part of the first UK-China joint Clinical Pharmacy programme with Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TUTCM).
I teach a range of modules on BSc, MPharm and MSci courses and lead a research team focusing on pre-clinical pharmacology and drug development.
I joined the School of Pharmacy in 2018 as a teaching-focussed staff member. I run and deliver teaching on a range of modules within the school, on both the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) and Pharmaceutical Sciences programmes.
I am also the Course Director for the BSc International Pharmacy Practice degree. This is part of the Dual PharmD programme with Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok, Thailand.
I joined the School of Pharmacy in 2021 as a teaching-focussed member of staff. My background is in organic and medicinal chemistry, which I teach across all taught courses offered by the school.I am the Course Director for the postgraduate-taught ‘Drug Discovery’ and ‘Drug Discovery with Industrial Training (two-year)’ MSc programmes.
