  • pathologist comments
  • imaging as appropriate

Case submission

Service update - effective April 2023

Due to current staffing levels and workload volume in the pathology service team and our need to prioritise teaching, we are only able to offer a pathology service to a limited number of submissions each week.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding if we are not able to accept your case. We sincerely hope that in the future we will be able to increase the number of cases we can accept.

Only qualified veterinarians can submit cases to the University of Nottingham Veterinary Pathology Service. Please contact your vet practice for submission if you are an owner.

Before submitting please get in contact by calling 0115 951 6743 and read our procedures and fees.

Once the case has been accepted please email the completed submission form to the team.

Please call ahead to discuss your submission if your case has been under chemotherapeutic treatment within the last 6 weeks.

Submission forms

Our telephones are open for submission requests and queries from 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Deliveries of submissions are accepted from 9am - 3pm Monday to Friday, by prior arrangement only.
