Head of School shortlisted for Times Higher Education (THE) Award 2022

We’re thrilled to announce that Professor Clive Roberts, Professor of Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology Pharmacy and Head of the School of Life Sciences, has been nominated for  ‘Outstanding Research Supervisor of the Year’ in the THE 2022 awards.

The THE awards, known as the annual ‘Oscars of Higher Education’, recognise the hard work and dedication of academic staff across the UK in areas such as research, teaching and student support.

On his nomination, Professor Roberts commented:

“It is a pleasure to be recognised in the THE Awards shortlists, especially for something as directly related to supporting individual students as research supervision. Each PhD student and project is a great opportunity to work with a team of supervisors to support the development of a student in their research career and is tremendously rewarding.”

Full details of the university’s shortlisted entries – together with their competitors for each award – are available at THE shortlist.

Winners will be revealed on Thursday 17 November 2022.
