Professor Tewari on Malaria Parasite Cell Division

 

Rita Tewari is a Professor of Parasite Cell Biology at The University of Nottingham within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and recently published a paper in Life Science Alliance (LSA) on malaria parasite cell division.

In our interview, Professor Tewari discusses how experiencing malaria disease as a child motivated her paper, the global importance of open access publications in the scientific community, and why her mother inspired her passion for education and her career in science.
