University of Nottingham were shortlisted for several awards at the 2023 BUCS Awards Dinner, hosted on Thursday 13th July. Yet again, the #GreenandGold have excelled across the board and to be shortlisted for 6 out of 12 awards is a testament to the hard work and dedication of students, staff, and volunteers at the University of Nottingham.

University of Nottingham compete at Henley Royal Regatta 2023

The University of Nottingham had strong representation at one of the most prestigious rowing events in the calendar - Henley Royal Regatta. Taking place at Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, the #GreenandGold of University of Nottingham Boat Club had numerous entries amongst the 732 that were entered at the tournament across six days of action.

University of Nottingham prepares to host World Under-24 Ultimate Championships

From the 2nd July through to the 8th July, the University of Nottingham is proud to be hosting the World Flying Disc Federation World Under-24 World Championships at our Highfields Sports Complex. This will see the highest level of ultimate play that is accessible for those of university age and we are delighted to be hosting the prestigious tournament with UK Ultimate.

Nottingham success in the sun at BUCS Beach Volleyball

On the 8th and 9th June, plenty of members of the University of Nottingham's Volleyball club headed down to Sandbanks Beach in Dorset to take on the 2023 BUCS Beach Volleyball Championships. The #GreenandGold were well represented at the event, with 18 competitors across 9 pairs flying the flag for the University of Nottingham.

The 2023 BUCS Outdoors Archery Championships took place earlier this month, and saw the University of Nottingham win more medals than any university present. Held on the 10th and 11th of June, our University of Nottingham team competed at Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Telford.

Nottingham shows great strength at BUCS Weightlifting Championships

The month of April saw the University of Nottingham's weightlifting athletes travel to Wales to enter the 2023 BUCS Weightlifting and Para-Powerlifting Championships. Taking place at Bangor University on the 22nd and 23rd of the month, Nottingham had entrants in both the men's and women's competitions, with huge success across both.

University of Nottingham Boat Club took the water on 29th April – 1 May for the 2023 BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) Regatta and produced some strong performances the National Water Sports Centre.
