There is now a clear acknowledgement of the social and economic value of the cultural sector, and its ability to deliver growth and drive regeneration. Arts and Humanities have long collaborated with cultural organisations.

Place-making: using the culture, history and heritage of a town, city or region to drive cultural and economic regeneration.
Example activities:
Enabling arts-based organisations to strengthen their connections with local communities (and in some cases national audiences) through involving the public in the co-creation of cultural activities and resources, and in local decision making.

Improved tourism offer and experience: using cultural insights to develop deeper interactions with visitors and more informative visitor experiences at tourist sites in the UK and overseas.
