School of Biosciences

Biosciences Award for Technicians (TS) and Administrators (APM)

The School of Biosciences is committed to delivering excellence in research and teaching at the UK and Malaysia campuses. This is something that we achieve by working as a team across all job families. I am delighted to launch the BAFTAs which are awarded to celebrate exceptional achievements in support for teaching and research across Biosciences. These awards add to our existing awards scheme for excellent delivery of teaching by academic staff.

If you have come across any staff in the School who have gone the extra mile to contribute something special to the work of the School, or to support your work, then please make a nomination for one of our new awards. Nominations can be submitted by all students and staff in the School and should be submitted by 30 January 2020.

Professor Simon Langley-Evans
Head of the School of Biosciences

* R&T staff making a nomination for either of these awards, should give consideration to ways in which their teaching or research has been supported by APM or TS staff or ways in which any colleague from these job families has helped them in any aspect of their role.

How to make a nomination

Please consider, when making nominations, that anybody who works within the School contributes in some way to the overall delivery of teaching and/or to the research environment, regardless of whether their role directly supports somebody undertaking these specific activities, or whether their support has been of a more general nature which should be recognised as ‘going the extra mile’ in some way.

The nomination form will be available soon.
