Research collaboration
Collaborations are an important part of Nottingham's partnership development agenda. The School of Biosciences works with other centres of research excellence on issues of global importance.
Our partnerships
The University has partnerships with industry, health care providers, and other universities, enabling us to carry out research projects on an international scale and transfer our knowledge around the world with countries that include China, Malaysia, the Americas, Australasia and various EU countries.
World-class research
Globally relevant, world-class research is of fundamental importance at the University of Nottingham, and is a key part of our internationalisation strategy.
Across the Schools of Biosciences and Veterinary Medicine and Science, 97% of work was judged to be of international quality and 37% of work was assessed as world-leading (4-star).
University of Nottingham Malaysia
University of Nottingham Malaysia provides a fantastic platform, enabling us to conduct global research in ways that may not have been possible in the UK. University of Nottingham Malaysia is host to a major University-led initiative to address the global challenge of food security.
Crops for the Future
In collaboration with Bioversity International, the University is co-hosting Crops for the Future (CFFRC), a major international research centre which will support, collect, synthesise and promote knowledge on neglected and underutilised crop species for the benefit of the poor and the environment.
It will do so by complementing and strengthening the efforts of other players active in international agricultural research and development.
