Study abroad
Expand your horizons, gain life experience and a new perspective on your subject.
All undergraduate students (except for MNutr Nutrition) in the School of Biosciences have the opportunity to apply to study abroad during their time at Nottingham. There are a range of opportunities from a summer school or field trip abroad to a semester to a year-long programme depending on your subject. You apply to study abroad once you have started your degree programme. Experienced and specialised staff provide advice and support before, during and after your study abroad.
Study abroad opportunities
To see what options are available for your specific subject area go to the Global opportunities by school webpages. These webpages are updated annually in September for the following academic year.
To find out more or ask any questions, please contact us.
Please be aware that study abroad, compulsory year abroad, optional placements/internships and integrated year in industry opportunities may change at any time for a number of reasons, including curriculum developments, changes to arrangements with partner universities or placement/industry hosts, travel restrictions or other circumstances outside of the university's control. Every effort will be made to update this information as quickly as possible should a change occur.

From our students
“I will never forget my time in Malaysia, and the links I have made mean it’ll never be hard to go back. The University offers once in a lifetime study abroad opportunities, and I would urge anyone to grasp them.”
