Nottingham ESRC Doctoral Training Programmes

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can take the advanced training modules?

Students registered at the University of Nottingham:

Students need to be registered on a research track masters (i.e. the MSSR or similar) or a PhD programme in a School which hosts a DTP pathway. The exception is the 'Other Specialist Modules' as labelled in the module guide: as these modules come from taught masters programmes. Students wishing to take these modules should check with the offering School in the first instance.

Students not registered at the University of Nottingham:

Students registered elsewhere must be an ESRC-funded student with the Midlands Graduate School.

Where can I find the timetable?

Once you are registered on a module you will be able to view timings via your individual timetables.

If you'd like to check the timetable before you enrol on a module, please contact us.

I'm a student registered at the University of Nottingham, how do I enrol on one of these modules?

I'm a Midlands Graduate School ESRC student registered at one of the other Universities (Birmingham, Warwick, Aston, Leicester, Loughborough, De Montfort, Nottingham Trent). How do I enrol for a module?

First, please check the available module information to ensure it meets your requirements and is running this academic year. Once you are happy please complete an application to apply for admission at Nottingham
