Space Management
Covering over 450 buildings across all of the UK locations, the University of Nottingham's Space Management team are responsible for all aspects of space management:
- Policies and guidelines
- Allocation
- Systems development
- Future and scenario planning
- Space occupancy and utilisation systems
In consultation with schools and departments they ensure project proposalsare aligned with the university’s policies and wider strategic plan.
Space Team
Ade Mawdsley
Space Resource & Programme Manager
Leading the team, Ade has over 30 years' experience in both micro and macro space management in sectors as varied as high street retail, food wholesale and building distribution.
In addition to managing the team, he is responsible for strategic development of space management and occupancy systems, space allocation and its associated policies and guidelines.
George Buffery
Data & Systems Manager (Space Management)
George has a wealth of experience in data and systems management across the public sector. In addition to collating, maintaining and analysing occupancy and utilisation data, he works with other teams in Estates and the wider university to understand and integrate other available datasets.
Kirsty Allen
Space Resource Officer
Kirsty has over 15 years’ experience in space management, with nine of those being in the higher education sector. Kirsty is primarily focused on maintaining the AutoCAD plans and data for all parts of our estate. She also works with George to manage and monitor our occupancy monitoring and desk booking systems.
