Moving and Handling in Emergency Situations
Chair to floor
Effective resuscitation requires a hard surface beneath the patient and so it may be necessary to move the patient.
Even in an emergency situation, we would advise you to place a pillow or cushioning on the floor so the patient is placed on something soft –this will reduce the risk of fracturing their coccyx.
