The student nurses might respond with “We were tired. We had been on duty all night. The lady did get a seat.” What is wrong with these responses?
The first incident shows you how easy it is to make the wrong decision and act without thinking. In the first film our group of student nurses did not consider the impact of their decisions on a vulnerable person and the wider general public. The NMC Code states; you should act in the best interests of people at all times.
