We will be updating the site throughout the year so please check back for updates. Some of information is for 2023 entry and is here for guidance until it is updated for 2024 entry. For 2024 entry there will be significant changes to information, so whilst you may be interested to look at the information here, our advice would be not to invest lots of time until June 2024.
Key date for 2024 entry
The PGCE course starts on Wednesday 28 August and you will need to be in Nottingham, in person, from that date.

Welcome to your first step towards a fulfilling and impactful career in education. Teaching is a dynamic and ever-evolving profession, and we are confident our programmes will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and experiences you need to succeed. You are joining a community of passionate and dedicated educators who share a commitment to the aims and ethos underpinning all our teacher training courses. As you progress through the course you will be supported to develop and grow your own philosophy of teaching and learning with support and guidance from all members of the community to which you now belong.
This pre-course website has been designed to provide you with some useful information and guidance to help you through Phase One of the course, ‘How are you preparing for your teacher education year?’ Please take care to read through each of the sections for your chosen course carefully. We hope you will find them helpful.
We'd like to draw your particular attention to the 'To do List' page, which lists all the activities and information you need to complete before starting the course. There is also a useful tick list document to help you keep track of what you have done.

If you have not already done so, all that remains is for you to confirm acceptance of your offer by logging onto your Apply for teacher training account.
