Biography

Trudi Cameron is a Research Fellow in the Division of Rehabilitation, Ageing and Wellbeing. She is a dually qualified adult and children's nurse with the majority of her clinical expertise being in neonatal nursing. Her NHS career spanned 34 years of clinical and managerial roles, teaching, quality and clinical governance, and trust wide project management and policy development. She also completed investigations into serious untoward incidents for the Dept of Health, and complaints investigations for the Health Service Ombudsman. She has participated in numerous Acute NHS Trust inspections for the Care Quality Commission as a professional advisor, and social care inspections as an Expert by Experience.

Trudi's current research is focussed on enhancing team working in acute stroke rehabilitation to support the delivery of evidence based care. She is also researching implementation of evidence based stroke rehabilitation in the community setting. Her PhD was completed at the University of Nottingham in the impact of stroke on children and young carers of stroke survivors.
