Applications are invited for the post of Research Technician in the Nanoscale and Microscale Research Centre (nmRC), located in Cripps South Building. The role holder will be responsible for Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and related sample preparation. They will use a variety of SEM instruments and utilise different imaging and compositional techniques to produce data and images of the highest quality from a wide range of sample materials.
There will be a strong emphasis on the training of students and staff researchers on the SEM's and the use of peripheral equipment such as energy dispersive (EDX) microanalysis systems. They will be responsible for co-ordinating the sample preparation facilities and running the nmRC's sample preparation laboratory.
