Genomics platform: Deep Seq
Understanding complex genomes
We are investing in genomics equipment to help researchers sequence diverse samples with a range of cutting-edge techniques.
Platform leader: Prof Matt Loose
Technologist: Dr Christopher Moore
Deep Seq is the University of Nottingham’s state of the art high-throughput genomics facility. The facility is open to researchers across the university who have genomics research questions, offering them access to high-throughput sequencing technology. The Future Food Beacon has invested in Deep Seq, allowing an expansion of the diversity of technologies available and contributing to the team’s Covid-19 sequencing capability. The Deep Seq team work with researchers from conception of sequencing experiments to final analysis of data.
