Biography:
Mohammad Hamdan is a planner and architect who blends academic and professional experience. He obtained a master's degree in spatial planning and a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering. He was initially employed as an architect, then became a lecturer, spending five years teaching different courses at Jordanian universities.
In his PhD, Mohammad is studying to develop a digital framework for retrofitting community area building. He has combined Building Energy simulation tools with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Furthermore, he examines both individual building retrofitting and the same building retrofitting process when considering the microclimate parameters.
Outside of his studies, Mohammad is an associated member of the Green Roofs organisation in the UK and a reviewer of the Advance in Building Energy journal. Moreover, he is a member of the ERA skills community.
