Guest speakers: Emmanuel Tapia Brio – Research Fellow and Amin Ehtiwesh - PhD Student.

Emmanuel Tapia Brio
“Application of Phase Change Material as heat storage device to control Varroa mites in beehives”
Biography: Emmanuel Tapia is a PhD student at the Building, Energy and Environment research group at the University of Nottingham. He is in his PhD final year and will hold PhD in Sustainable Energy Technologies from the University of Nottingham in 2022. He has been working as research assistant in a variety of projects within the research group. His PhD project won the WSSET Innovation awards 2022. His research interests are air purification, water harvesting, energy storage, sustainable technology design.
Amin Ehtiwesh
“Dynamic simulation of direct steam generation solar power system integrated with steam accumulator as heat storage tank”
Biography: Amin Ehtiwesh is a PhD student at the Building, Energy and Environment research group at the University of Nottingham. Amin holds a master's degree in advanced mechanical engineering in Sheffield Hallam University. He is in his PhD final year and will hold PhD in Sustainable Energy Technologies from the University of Nottingham in 2022. His research interests are solar thermal power systems, steam heat storage, steam Rankine cycle, ORC system and their dynamic simulations via using Simscape\Simulink software.
